Honest pricing, no surprises.
I believe in being upfront about what things cost. Here's how my pricing works so you know what to expect before you call.
My Rates
Hourly Rate: $150/hr
First-Hour Minimum: $200 — covers travel and the first hour of labor. After the first hour, time is billed in 15-minute increments.
Deposit: Larger projects (EV charger installations, panel upgrades, multi-day work) require a 50% deposit before scheduling and ordering materials. The balance is due upon completion.
Permit Fees: Passed through at cost, no markup. If your project requires a permit, I obtain it and coordinate the inspection — you pay exactly what the municipality charges.
Materials: Materials I supply are marked up 20% over cost. If you'd rather buy your own fixtures or devices — or already have an EV charger picked out — that's fine, and there's no markup on anything you supply yourself. Not sure what to buy? I can put together a shopping list (model numbers, specs, where to find them) billed at my standard rate, one-hour minimum. Customer-supplied materials still need to meet code and manufacturer specs for the install — if something turns out to be the wrong part or incompatible on installation day, that time is billed the same as the rest of the visit.
Estimates & Ballparks
Free ballpark estimates: Send me a few photos and a description of your project and I'll give you a rough range — no trip required, no obligation. Ballparks are free and based on the information provided; actual pricing may vary once I see the job.
Paid on-site estimates: For larger or more complex projects that need a full scope review, I charge my standard hourly rate for an on-site estimate. That fee is credited in full toward your project if we move forward.
What to Expect When You Hire Me
Reach out — call, text, or fill out the form on the Services page. If your project is straightforward, attach a photo or two for a free ballpark.
We talk through the scope — I'll ask a few questions to make sure I understand what you need. No upsells, no pressure.
You get a clear price — before any work starts, you'll know what it costs. No surprises.
You'll receive a short service agreement — before we schedule, I'll send over a service agreement covering scope, payment terms, and warranty. Review and sign takes about two minutes. Scheduling is confirmed once it's signed.
I show up and do the work — you're dealing directly with me, a licensed master electrician with over 20 years of experience. No dispatchers, no subcontractors. Before every job, I review the scope ahead of time so I show up prepared; on the rare occasion a part isn't on hand, that time is billed at the same transparent rate as the rest of the visit — no hidden fees, no guessing games.
Permit and inspection — if your project requires one, I handle it. You don't have to chase down the city.
Payment due on completion — for service calls, payment is due when the job is done. Larger projects require a 50% deposit upfront, balance on completion.
